Coffee club

Now that the house rooms are again in full operation, a couple of members have floated the idea of a, fairly casual, weekly coffee club. A few blokes happy to get together at around 10 am on Wednesdays to share a cuppa and an exchange of views and reminiscences.

Turn up and see what happens.

Annual General Meeting

Scheduled for 21 March 2023 and nominations for the committee are now open.

Application forms on the Secretary’s desk and are pretty much self-explanatory. We – the committee – meet monthly, usually at 2 pm and the last Tuesday of the month and each member assumes responsibility for one or more aspects of managing the Shed.

You will require a nominee and seconder from the financial membership (have you paid you subs?) to sign with you.

MARINE RADIO VISIT

Barry from M.A.S.T. gave us an uninterrupted treat in showing us how, the Maritime radio system operates, when, a 24/7 coverage time and of course why, so unbeknown to the majority of those in Tasmania and beyond have a state of the art safety net waiting to assist us in times of need.
A great time had by all with all questions and thoughts being answered.
